Welcome Fall Externs!
MEI would like to welcome our 2 new interns; Rich DeLano and Ryan Berger. Both are students at the Illinois College of Optometry and are beginning their clinical rotations here at Milauskas Eye Institute.
Rich has just completed an externship in Colorado and Ryan has been attending ICO and has spent some time in a private practice in Florida
Over the next few months, these optometric interns will rotate through various parts of the practice. They’ll work with both Ophthalmologists and Optometrists on staff examining patients, getting hands on skills and experience with those patients who present a myriad of eye conditions. In addition to their clinical experience, the interns will rotate through the various surgeries performed by MEI physicians. This includes cataract surgery, LASIK surgery and oculoplastic surgery. This allows the interns to follow a patient from their first encounter in the office through surgery and all the way through the post-operative period.
We are happy to have them here at Milauskas Eye Institute.
